Cookies & local storage
Short version: we use no advertising cookies and no cross-site tracking. What little we store is either required to sign you in or is a preference you set yourself — which is why you have not been shown a consent banner.
Why there's no cookie pop-up
Consent banners exist because sites load third-party trackers. Kioo doesn't load any. Under the ePrivacy rules, storage that is strictly necessary for a service the user has asked for — signing in, remembering a theme — does not require consent. So we skipped the banner rather than perform one.
1. The Kioo mobile app
The app uses no cookies at all. It stores a small amount of data on your own device so it can work:

All of it lives on your device. Clearing the app's storage or uninstalling removes it. None of it is an advertising identifier.
2. The kioo.site website
The marketing pages you are reading now are static files. They set nothing beyond the following:

3. What we do not use
- No advertising cookies. Kioo carries no adverts anywhere.
- No third-party tracking pixels — no Meta pixel, no ad-network tags, no retargeting.
- No cross-site or cross-app tracking, and no advertising identifiers.
- No third-party analytics on this website. Our understanding of traffic comes from our own server logs, described below.
- No social media embeds — no widgets that would set cookies from another company.
- No external fonts, scripts or images. Every asset on this site is served from kioo.site, so no third party learns you visited.
- No fingerprinting of any kind.
4. Server logs
Like any web server, ours records requests: the page requested, a timestamp, the response code, the browser's user-agent string and the IP address. This is used for security, abuse prevention and debugging. Logs are kept for up to 90 days and then purged. They are not used to build a profile of you and are not shared with anyone for marketing.
5. Payment pages
Card payments are completed on Flutterwave's own secure checkout. Once you are on their page, their cookie policy applies — including any fraud-prevention cookies they set. We never see or store your card number. See the privacy policy for what Flutterwave receives from us.
6. Controlling storage
- Theme preference: press the theme toggle again, or clear site data for kioo.site.
- Browser controls: every major browser lets you block or delete cookies and site data per site. Blocking ours means the theme toggle will not persist and you may need to sign in more often; nothing else breaks.
- Do Not Track / Global Privacy Control: we have nothing to switch off in response, because we run no tracking to begin with.
- In the app: signing out clears your token; uninstalling clears everything local.
7. If this changes
If we ever add analytics or any non-essential storage, we will list it in the table above, update the date at the top of this page, and — where consent is required — ask for it properly, with a real "reject" that works as easily as "accept".
